FeminineEssence Retreat
19 - 22 Nov 2026, Hurdal, Norway

A Weekend of Deep Feminine Restoration

Welcome to the beautiful Hurdal Gjestegård and enjoy 4 days together with other women in scenic natural surroundings. Through yoga, meditation, and gentle movement, you will be able to connect deeply with your true feminine essence.

This is an invitation for you to remember the inner wisdom, power, and magic that already lives within you.

This long weekend in November is for you if you are longing for more joy, presence, and a deeper connection with your body, mind, and soul. It is for you if you are feeling tired, overwhelmed, or stressed, and find it difficult to truly rest and relax. Perhaps you feel stuck in old patterns and are searching for new answers? Answers that already exist within your body, waiting to emerge and reveal themselves to you.

The retreat is led by two skilled and experienced facilitators, Johanna Lily and Malin. We invite you into a weekend rooted in feminine flow, softness, and deep nourishment. Our intention is to help you reconnect with your inner self through the harmony of nature and the wisdom of your own body. We want you to feel safe, seen, and fully supported throughout the entire experience.

Return to Your Natural Rhythm

In a world that constantly asks us to achieve more, give more, be more, and never slow down, many women find themselves living at a relentless pace — disconnected from the natural rhythm of their bodies, their own cycles, and the deep feminine wisdom that lives within them.

Many carry an overstimulated nervous system, high levels of stress, and the feeling of always moving on to the next thing on the list. Over time, this can lead to exhaustion, imbalance, and a loss of connection with oneself.

This retreat is an invitation to the opposite.

A sacred pause.

A space where you can soften your shoulders, breathe more deeply, and return home to your body.

To rest.

To nourishment.

To presence.

To your feminine essence.

Together, we will create a safe and intimate space where you can ground yourself in your body, calm your nervous system, and soften out of performance, control, and external expectations — and into greater flow, pleasure, intuition, and inner peace.

Through somatic practices, feminine embodiment, breathwork, movement, rest, and sisterhood, you will be gently guided back to your natural rhythm and life force.

This is an opportunity to refill and reconnect — not because you need to become a new version of yourself, but because you are invited to remember who you already are.

Johanna Lily, with her extensive experience as a somatic coach and feminine embodiment guide, together with Malin, with her grounded presence and gentle approach as a yoga, mindfulness and breathwork teacher, will guide you through a transformative journey back to your feminine core.

Welcome to a space where you can soften, receive, and bloom together with other women.

Soften Into Your Body & Nourish Your Nervous System

During the retreat, we will explore feminine embodiment, somatic healing, movement, meditation, breath, and nervous system work — gentle practices that invite you out of the mind and back into your body.

Back into softness.
Back into feeling.
Back into yourself.

So many women move through life disconnected from their bodies, their emotions, their desires, and their feminine nature — constantly giving, doing, holding, achieving.

This work is an invitation to soften the armour.

To exhale.

To slow down enough to hear your own inner voice again.

Together, we create space for what has been pushed aside, suppressed, or forgotten to gently come to the surface — not to be fixed, but to be felt, witnessed, and loved.

Some moments may feel deeply nourishing and grounding. Others may awaken something within you that has been waiting to breathe, move, and be expressed.

We will also explore the healing power of our breath. Our breath is always with us — so simple, yet perhaps one of the most powerful tools we have. It is the connection to our own life force energy.

Breathwork is a term used for different breathing techniques that can guide you into a state similar to deep meditation.

There are many forms of breathwork, but during this retreat we will explore a gentle approach using an active, circular breath without pauses between the inhale and exhale.

Through conscious breathwork, you activate the body’s natural self-healing system, open space for suppressed emotions, and release stored stress, old patterns, and blockages — physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Sometimes the experience feels soft, calming, and deeply relaxing. Other times, unresolved emotions may rise to the surface, which can become a profoundly transformative and healing experience.

Digital Detox & Quiet Time

During this retreat, you are also invited to completely disconnect from your mobile phone for 4 days — a rare luxury in today’s world of constant notifications and distractions.

The entire stay is phone-free, allowing you as a participant to fully relax, slow down, and be truly present. The endless stream of alerts and messages causes many of us to live in unnecessary stress and overstimulation. This is an opportunity to let go and allow the outside world to wait for a little while.

This is your time — an investment in yourself, your nervous system, your energy, and your inner wellbeing.

We encourage all participants to keep their phones turned off throughout the weekend, and Malin collects them upon arrival. You are welcome to share Malin’s phone number with friends and family so they can reach you if necessary. If this feels challenging for you, please contact Malin beforehand and we will find a solution together.

Malin uses a bell to gently guide the rhythm of the retreat — waking you in the morning, announcing yoga sessions, and calling everyone for meals. Everything is designed to help you remain fully present in the moment, without needing to think about time or schedules.

Throughout the weekend, you will be served nourishing vegan meals prepared with care and intention. Malin makes everything from scratch, offering a variety of flavorful and wholesome dishes. Many of the vegetables are homegrown and cultivated by Malins partner Andrew.

To truly relax and restore, it is important for the body to receive healthy nourishment and to enjoy meals in a calm and mindful way. Eating itself becomes a practice of presence during the retreat.

You will be served delicious raw food cakes and lovingly prepared vegan meals, all created to nourish both body and soul. Read about previous guests’ experiences and heartfelt feedback from past retreats.

Sauna, River Bathing & Nature Walks

On Saturday afternoon, we will have the opportunity to use our neighbor’s beautiful handcrafted sauna. The sauna is located right beside the river, Gjødingelva, only 200 meters from Hurdal Gjestegård.

The water is fresh, invigorating, and deeply revitalizing — offering a beautiful way to end the day. Afterwards, a warm dinner will be served, and we will close the evening with a sharing circle and restorative yoga before drifting into the deep rest of the night.

There will also be free time for you to recharge in solitude. Hurdal offers beautiful nature and scenic walking trails all year round. You can take peaceful walks in the surrounding area and visit the nearby eco-village.

Research shows that spending time in nature has a deeply calming effect on the nervous system. There is so much healing to be found here.

Johanna Lily is a guide in feminine embodiment and work as a somatic coach. She supports women in returning home to their bodies, softening into their inner landscape, and reconnecting with the wisdom of the heart and womb.

Through her work, she invites women to move beyond survival mode and into embodied presence, safety, and vitality. With a trauma-informed approach, she weaves together somatic healing, nervous system regulation, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), creating space for deeper self-connection and emotional integration.

Johanna has more than ten years of experience guiding women through 1:1 mentorship, group gatherings, and retreats. She is passionate about creating safe and nourishing spaces where the body is allowed to lead, and where every woman can meet herself with greater softness, honesty, and presence.

malin-hurdal-gjestegard.jpg

Malin is a certified yoga, mindfulness and breathwork instructor and has been running Hurdal Gjestegård since 2021. She hosts Silent Retreats there once every month, and for her, silence and mindfulness are among the most important tools for navigating both the small and great challenges of life.

Malin worked for more than 15 years as a civil engineer, living with high ambitions and a stressful everyday life. In 2021, her life took a major turn when she decided to make profound changes and begin living more in alignment with her true nature and personal design. Today, she lives what she teaches, practicing mindfulness and yoga every single day.

She is deeply passionate about sharing the message of mindfulness and presence with others and believes strongly in the importance of daily stillness practices.

The feminine essence is something every guest experiences when visiting the guesthouse. It is woven throughout the entire experience, and Malin guides with softness, warmth, and care. Participants often find themselves settling into a deep sense of peace, presence, and inner calm.
